Canon turns heat up to 4K

Ultra high definition (UHD) is all the rage this month as, like rival Nikon, Canon has pitched in with new 4K video recording additions to its line up – this time aimed at pros. The new specialist tools are: the EOS C300 Mark II, which upgrades the C300 with dual Digic DV5 processors; a compact video camera in the XC10 which is suggested as a supporting camera, or as a standalone solution for independent filmmakers; plus a 24-inch 4K monitor in the DP-V2410 for on-set colour management and grading. The latter is expected to arrive in Europe the last quarter of this year.
