Armaggeddon Fuze 7 7.1 Review – Armaggeddon never seems to run out of ideas for brand new headphones, and this latest addition to its long line of audio headwear is no different. Armaggeddon has decided to add a couple more colour variations to their usual staple of yellow and black. The unit we receive is clad in red and black embellishments, which actually gives the headphones a far more aggressive look. The headphones themselves are large, with over-ears cup padded with sponge and faux leather.

The fit is relatively tight with the strap all closed up, so we recommend opening it up all the way first, then tightening it bit by bit till it fits snugly on your head. As with most gaming headsets, the Fuze 7 comes equipped with a built-in microphone, an in-line volume controller, which also has a mute mic button, and uses a USB port to power the whole thing up. Unfortunately the Fuze 7 does not come with a USB-to-3.5 mm converter, which means you can only use it with PCs and consoles. Being a surround sound headset, the Fuze 7’s audio quality is pretty great all across the board.

We first tested it with movies and we actually liked what we heard. The added bass gave more impact to action scenes as well, while playing games and also allows you to pinpoint where your enemies are by audio. Listening to music with the Fuze 7 is also great as the surround sound audio somewhat elevates the audio quality so that each individual instrument is audible, from the lows to the highs. Armaggeddon has stepped their audio game up a fair bit thanks to the 50mm drivers.

Using the Fuze 7 for long periods of time isn’t all that bad either, as it is quite comfortable as long as you get the fit right. It also does eventually get a bit warm, but not to the point where it causes your ears to sweat. Some people may find issue with the fact that the headphones are bulky however, and we highly recommend that you check the fit first before purchase the headphones.

The Armaggeddon Fuze 7 provides users with excellent audio performance; that is of course if you can get over the fitting and bulkiness issues. While it doesn’t come with 3.5mm adapters, all things considered, you’re most likely going to use it on your PCs and consoles.
