Samsung SD360 Review – Samsung is a known for making stylish and powerful lifestyle devices, and the Samsung SD360 is an example of design meeting performance. This Full HD LCD monitor is exquisitely beautiful, with its Touch of Colour crystalline design and glossy white scheme with a small hint of blue. The beauty is amplified in sunlight as the opaque blue takes in the light to showcase minimalism with unique design.

The SD360 has a single HDMI and a standard VGA outlet and it has an easy to access menu on the bottom right of the screen. The stand provides good elevation but it only allows the monitor to tilt forward and backward, which is rather disappointing for those who desire a greater range of movement. Similar to Samsung’s other products, the SD360 comes with some unique features that befit its beautiful design, and one of it is the Wide Angle display of up to 178 degree. This allows you and your friends to enjoy videos and games without leaving out anyone due to bad viewing angles.

It also incorporates the Magic Upscale technology which scales image quality at a level where it is improved no matter what the original source is. To test this feature, we used a laptop connected to the SD360 while playing a movie, and it resulted with clear pristine images. The Game mode feature is also present in the SD360, and it adjusts monitor settings according to the scene in the game to provide a better gaming experience. Performance wise, this monitor does not disappoint.

We tested the monitor on several Blu-Ray movies such as Gravity and Star Trek: Into Darkness, and the picture quality was simply superb. Gaming on the SD360 was also a pleasure with the Game Mode providing the touch of brilliance and the monitors fast response time giving no lag issues to gameplay. The SD360 is also compatible with the new Windows 8.1 and it looks great with this monitor.

Overall, the Samsung SD360 is powerful for its price, and it definitely lives up to its beautiful design with brilliant display.
