Lockcircle Camera Professional Body Cap Review – There are times in life when we are tempted to purchase things that we really don’t need; times when our wallets are safer left at home and our online banking details best forgotten. Precision-milled from a chunk of aluminium, the LockCircle is exactly what it says it is: a metal body cap for your camera.

The only differences between this and the plastic body cap that came with your camera (for free) is that it has a protruding grip with a knurled edge and a small divot in it that catches the locking mechanism of the camera lens mount.

It also adds 108g to the weight to your camera, so you’re probably asking the same question I was when I first used it; is there any need for it? Well, it is easier to remove and is significantly more durable than the provided plastic body cap, but if you lose body caps like I have in the past, misplacing this is going to really cost you. The LockCircle body cap is clearly for the photographer who has everything – it’s wonderfully over-engineered and wholly unnecessary. The caps are made to fit Canon or Nikon DSLRs.
