Its exterior may remind gamers of MSI’s trademark gaming laptop series but the big emblem shows that this laptop is vastly different as it is a workstation. It is fitted with the same SteelSeries keyboard that MSI usually uses.

On its sides, it has USB2.0 and 3.0 ports as well as the usual array of audio ports. The back of the laptop shows a wide variety of ports which are HDMI, Ethernet and DisplayPorts as well as the power port. The one thing you should watch out for is its weight may prove to be a hassle to carry around.

This workstation comes with many powerful features such as compatibility with Adobe Creative Suite 6, Autodesk, and Solidworks which can all be featured on its first ever 3K ultra High resolution display screen. It is also able to support up to three separate displays. Should you want to relax, it has gaming potential with KILLER Doubleshot network connectivity and Cooler Boost 2 to keep its temperature down during gaming. It also features backlit keyboard perfect for both work and gaming. Performance-wise, the workstation breezed through our benchmarks without fail. It should be noted however that the benchmarks for its graphics card could not be used as we do not have the appropriate software to test the NVIDIA Quadro series. However, its 3K display really comes into play when watching movies and videos.

We were even able to enjoy casual games like LoL and Dota 2 which provided amazing gameplay experience. It also has a high quality camera which makes Skyping a delight to play with as it portrays your video clear and without delay.

After all is said and done, the MSI GT60 20KWS is definitely a workstation for the professionals. This would be a good pick for those who needs the performance on the road to run the most demanding of software.
